Review confidence is weighted by verification tier: a verified, named review carries full weight (1.0×); anonymous reviews are weighted at 0.40×. This means a vendor with 20 verified reviews will score more reliably than one with 200 unverified reviews.
Badge assignments (Category Leader, Top Rated, Rising Star) are computed nightly and reflect current standings — not a one-time snapshot. Vendor rankings on this page update automatically as new reviews arrive.
Ostrich does not accept payment for rankings. Featured placements (Editor's Pick) require a minimum score of 3.5 and at least 5 verified reviews, plus admin editorial review of the vendor's positioning claim.
